With this blog, I want to show a new unconventional view of everyday life and the material world around us - one that is based on a cultural perspective.
We will take a fresh look at familiar things, places, and brands from the point of view of people and culture: human experiences and imagination, cultural history and modern trends, meanings and values, tastes and habits, and representations in literature and film, mythology, pop-culture, etc.
I’ll also share some useful tools that anthropologists use to immerse themselves in other cultures, worldviews, and people’s daily lives.
The topics will range from home design, food and drinks to transport, housing, gender, ecology, fashion, the travel industry, and many other things we deal with in our daily lives.
